ABOUT US
BWDA Finance Limited (BFL), originally part of the Bullock-cart Workers Development Association (BWDA) established in 1985, commenced operations in 2003 to enhance financial inclusion. BWDA began forming SHGs under the IFAD program in 1988 and started direct lending in 1999. To overcome legal constraints and support future growth, microfinance operations were transferred to a separate NBFC acquired and renamed as BFL in 2003. BFL focuses on streamlining financial services for underserved communities. It was reclassified as an NBFC-MFI by the RBI in April 2018.
